With your partnership and others, we would like to pursue providing an inexpensive source of protein, SOYBEAN, to the women and children in Afghanistan. This measure can help save many lives of Afghan women and children who are malnourished and living in the regions with high maternal and children mortalities.
Why Afghanistan?
- Highest global maternal mortality rate at childbirth (1 in 50)
- Highest global infant mortality rate at birth (infant death at birth: 1 in 7)
- 25 percent mortality rate for children under five (1 in 4)
- Afghanistan is the number one country for exporting illicit drugs and farmers need alternative crops to replace opium poppies.
Our Father has led us to develop the soybean industry in Afghanistan as a national remedy to fight malnutrition. We have witnessed His mighty hand of recreating the miracle of feeding the 5,000. In this way, the whole country can experience the love of Him that will open the door to His mercy. His work is ongoing mightily and vividly to save the innocent lives of many women and children. This proposal to bring 300 tons of seed to over 20,000 Afghan farmers will produce over 12,000 tons of soybeans next fall. This harvest will directly help over 2 million impoverished families for their winter survival nutrition. This requires raising $390,000, and we are very greatful to be joined with you in order to make this nation changing endeavor become reality. We are very blessed in this partnership with FHI members and expect much success.
